In this video, Micah and Alex discuss the Spanish phrase for “What do you want to drink?” that you can use with your child as a part of your daily routine!

Micah
Hi everyone Micah here, founder of TruFluency Kids Spanish Immersion online and I’m here with Alex.

Alex
Hello Hola Hola.

Micah
How are you doing today, Alex?

Alex
Very good, muy bien.

Micah
Good good. We’re here with our weekly Spanish phrase for all of those parents who are not bilingual, which is basically most of us. And so we wanna help parents to give them a specific phrase that they can use on a daily basis with their kids to assist their kids in getting that, you know, every day Spanish.

So in the last video, we did ‘¿qué quieres comer?’ ‘what do you want to eat?’, which oh my gosh how many times a day do we say that? That’s kinda what I’m thinking about all day, what do i want to eat?

Alex
Me, too.

Spanish Phrase – What do you want to drink? – ¿Qué Quieres Tomar?

Micah
And so today….Exactly, the joys of life. And so what question are we doing today, Alex?

Alex
¿qué quieres tomar? What do you want to drink?

Micah
Awesome. Okay, so we ask this question morning noon and night with our kids. ¿qué quieres tomar? For breakfast, ¿qué quieres tomar? For lunch ¿qué quieres tomar? For dinner, for the snack anytime, multiple times a day.

Alex
It’s funny because as moms we say it all the time ¿qué quieres tomar? And no matter what they respond, we say ‘vas a tomar agua’, you are going to drink water.

Micah
Okay, so let’s practise everyone. In the next few videos we’re gonna make the parents practice with us so they can get comfortable. So parents, please say the questions with Alex and repeat the answer with me, okay Alex….
