How to Write a Letter to Santa in Spanish
The first thing kids must know is that there are no rules to write their letters to Santa or the Three Wise Men. They want children to be their true selves. This means letters can be as creative as the kid wants.
But the following things can help when writing in another language. So bring your children to read the next tips. And pay close attention, kids!
- First, you have to say hi to Santa or the Wise Men. You can say “hola”. But the most common phrase for this kind of letter is “Querido Santa” (dear Santa), just like in English.
- Then you can present yourself by saying your name. And, if you wish, add any fun facts about you. Including how well-behaved you’ve been.
- After that, start writing the list of toys you want to get. Make sure, you always say “please” because Santa appreciates respect, and it shows you’re truly a kind kid.
- We know that you, kids, have a very kind soul. That’s why a lot of children also ask for nice values for their families and the whole world. You can still do this in Spanish. This paragraph can go before or after the toy list.
- We also know that you always have more to say, so you usually write a lot of postscripts saying goodbye. This is a very fun aspect of these letters, and many Hispanic kids do that too. Remember that “P.S” in Spanish is “P.d.” (posdata).
- These tips also work for the letter to The Three Wise Men. But you would greet them as: “Queridos Reyes Magos” (dear Three Wise Men).
Here’s a Spanish Christmas letter template in case you want more details:
Querido Santa:
Soy (your name).
Pd. 3. Muchas gracias. Buen viaje!
