Spanish Phrases to Express Disgust

First, we have to learn the two main words that will guide this class: “Fuchi” and “Guacala”. Above we translated them as “iugh”, which is true. But that’s just a small translation of these awesome, Spanish words.

They can also have other disgust-related translations, like “gross!”. Basically, they’re expressions used to let other people know the things we find disgusting.

For example:

  • ¡Ay, fuchi! Huele feo. / Eww! Something smells bad.
  • El gato se hizo caca. ¡Guacala! / The cat pooped. That’s gross!

You can also use them together for extra disgust. For example:

  • ¡Ay, no! ÂżVamos a comer eso? ¡Fuchi, guacala! / We’re having that for dinner? Eww!

Did you notice how we used some of the words above for these sentences? Now your kids know how to use those words in a sentence.
